Insomnia

Lately my average night of sleep is around 4 hours tops...and not 4 hours in a row. I don't know why insomnia gets so bad the last few weeks but it's no fun. I've been awake almost two hours straight now after getting up to pee a third time, and I have considered cleaning, packing, scrubbing my bathroom, and organizing baby things. All of which would wake my boys up. So instead I just have laid in bed wide wide awake. One more week!

Yesterday we went to the dinosaur museum with Allison and her boys. He loves those kids so much and they're great with him. He is usually pretty reserved but he has somehow gotten really comfortable really quick and just turns into a wild man. And I love it! They also wore him out Tuesday night so he slept in until 9 yesterday for the first time in his life. It was amazing...but of course I was awake by 6.
I'm so happy we had a boy first so he could be close in age to some of his cousins.

Last night my mom, Allison and I saw The Little Mermaid at the Hale theater in salt lake. It was so cute--I admit I got teary eyed in a few parts. My love for all things Disney is a little extreme. They did such a good job on that tiny little stage. We went to dinner at chilis after and just had some quality girl time. Sadly I didn't take any pictures but I'm grateful to have the mom and sisters that I do. I just wish Melissa could have been here too! Next time.

Life lately!

I am officially the worst blogger ever lately. I was doing so good at it but I've been in a funk since we officially moved back to Utah the beginning of May. THAT was craziness, and a long story. But we are finally settled back here, even though we will be moving again in about 4 weeks...5 days before I am getting induced. Let's hope baby girl stays in until the 23 of July! It's good to be back here though--we have spent lots of time with family and friends. I didn't realize how much we missed everyone until we got back and got to see them all again. I think I definitely took for granted living so close to the people we love.

JT started his new job last week at ProFire energy. He seems to be liking it, and we are grateful that he was able to find something before we were out of work for too long. He is taking a really hard math class every night too, so he is busy and we don't see him very much. We are living for our weekends right now.

Thomas is 20 months, wakes up at 6 am regularly, says new things daily, and loves to push our buttons. He no longer looks like a baby at all and it's been so fun watching him change on a daily basis. And I am just getting the biggest belly ever, baby girl is always moving and we still haven't decided on a name. If she doesn't make an early entrance, I will be induced the morning of July 23! So a little over 5 weeks away. This has seriously been the fastest pregnancy ever. Moving 5 times and having a one year old makes that happen I guess.

Here's a few pictures from our last month and a half!
Obsessed with fish lately-the aquarium, goldfish, and finding nemo are in his top five of favorite things. Along with trains and cars.
Seriously though that puppy, it was the cutest thing ever.
33 weeks in this ^^ and it's grown even larger in the last week and a half. I feel like she will be a big baby just like Thomas!
An obsession with all things trains has begun.
Sorry...had too. He loves naked time after baths.
He's also reallllly good at throwing tantrums with fake crying. Bring on the terrible twos.

UTAH

We have been in Utah a little over a week now! Minus no sleep and a very clingy Thomas, and daddy not being here, we've had so much fun. We did the Tulip festival with Sara, Amanda, and Brittany and all the kiddos. Tulips are still my favorite.
We've done just about everything at thanksgiving point, I think I was there every day last week. Thomas has been having so much fun with his cousins-and they are so sweet with him. He especially loves Tyler.
He's warming up to grandparents and aunts and uncles, one minute he loves them the next he's scared of them. But I love this picture of him and my mom.
Kyle was an instant favorite though.
My mom was watering flowers one day and Thomas decided he wanted to soak himself. Head all the way under and all!
And tulips round two::golf carts are the way to go.

I no longer have to worry about flying alone with Thomas because we are moving back. Next weekend believe it or not. We are excited to be back with our families close by. JT told me to stay here because I am prego and pretty useless for moving, and Thomas would be no help either. So he is handling the packing and driving along with my brother in law guy who is heading out to help Friday. We are very thankful he was so quick to offer help. So hooray! Utah will always be our home I hope.

Side note: I am 27 weeks today!! 13 more!! Or 91 days. 91. That number is both scary and exciting to me.

Christmas Eve 2014

We had such a great Christmas this year! Thomas survived the holiday with only a few over tired melt downs.  He was beyond spoiled with love and gifts from grandparents and aunts and uncles, ate way too much sugar, and stayed up hours past his bed time a few nights but he was a trooper.  I am so thankful to live such a blessed life.

We took Thomas to see Santa Christmas Eve morning...I'll just let the picture explain how that went.

Afterwards we went to JT's dad's house for breakfast with AshLee and her family.  We exchanged presents, ate yummy food, and got to visit for a few hours while the kids played with their new toys.  Thomas is still terrified of their dog Max, which is weird because he does fine with all other dogs...we'll have to work on that some more.  Thanks Grandpa Jeff and Shelle for such a fun time!

Ceni and Izzi got these kid size couches and I have never seen Thomas love something so much.  He played on those things hard and we left with a few bruises from him diving off of them into everything.

For Christmas Eve night, we went to JT's mom's house with all of his sisters and their families.  They had a "Feliz Navidad", or at least that's what they called it because we had shrimp tacos and other mexican delicousness.  I have the best mother in law who cooks me my own meals because I can't stomach sea food at all.  She is such a sweetie. Thomas got to see his cousins again and we exchanged presents and spent some much needed time as a whole family.  My favorite part of the night was when drew names and had to say what we loved about the person that we picked.  I picked JT and could barely get any words out about him because he's just the best. So I think I cried more then said anything, but he knows how much I love him.  It was really sweet to hear everyone's responses and feel so much love in that room.  We will sure miss all of them when we move away.

We went back to my parents house and did the traditional PJ opening and picture taking.  Every year my parents try and out do each other for getting the worst PJs for each other....this year my mom definitely won.  My dad's were a footed onesie with a long sleep cap thing...oh my gosh it was SO funny.  Pictures don't even do it justice, it was just too good.  My dad always reads Luke 2 and this year we talked about the different symbols of Christmas.  We all wrote on a floating lantern what we wanted to give to Christ in the year 2015 and sent it off into the sky.  Allison and Guy spent Christmas in Colorado so we missed them lots, but they are coming out this weekend so we will get to see them before we move.

It's so hard not to get caught up sometimes in all the fake fluff that surrounds this holiday.  I am so thankful for my Savior who died and atones for all of my many mistakes.  I would not be where I am today with the gift of the Atonement.  I hope that I will be able to teach Thomas and our future kids how truly blessed we are, and help them develop a strong, loving relationship with their Savior.  We also watched this quick video that the Church put out, I just love it.  I love how such a simple video can get such a great message across.
