This weather makes me happy.

Sorry to everyone on the east coast who is freezing and suffering feet of snow...Washington is in the 60s and sunny lately and I couldn't be happier! Thomas is obviously pretty happy about it too!!
Where JT goes, Thomas usually follows. He is such a daddy's boy and I love it. It will definitely make the transition from one to two much easier. Also I absolutely loved the trees at the park we went to today. They were huge. And it was gorgeous there.

Thomas is going to be 17 months next week. I can't believe it! He has grown up so much since we moved away.
His favorite things:
-Stacking puzzle pieces, foam letters, any kind of "piece" toy. I kid you not he plays with them for a few hours a day, just sitting there and stacking and making piles from place to place.
-Talking on his play phone, and holding up to his ear--which usually is put at the back of his neck instead
-Bath time. He has lived baths since he was a baby! Sometimes he goes to the bathroom door and cries because he wants to get in the tub so badly.
-Telling us clearly when he is hungry by running to his booster and whining to get in
-hearing airplanes and pointing to them, watching them, really anything about them.
-Cuddles and stories before bedtime or naps. He will sit forever before he goes to sleep if I would let him
-His disney bed time story book
-Daddy time
-running to the door saying dad over and over again when he hears JTs keys in the lock
-hide and seek
-Playing at any park and going for walks. Really just being outside!
-Blowing on anything we say is "hot"

My not so favorite things:
-constant whining it seems. He just tries so hard to communicate and he's not quite there yet! I can't wait for him to be able to tell me what he wants. Soon enough I guess!
-tantrums if he doesn't get his way, or we have to interrupt him when he's super into whatever he is playing. He arches his back and throws himself backwards...one of these days he will seriously hurt himself.
-picky eating stage still! Some days he eats everything, and the next he throws 6 things on the floor before I find a winner. The struggle is real.
-church. ONE more month people then he goes to nursery! I can't wait to sit through meetings again, for a few months at least!

Just another Thomas post

I'm not in the mood to write a ton so I'll just put up a bunch of pictures from the past few days! Sunday afternoon we went down to the Columbia River to a trail there, it was kind of drizzling and wet out but Thomas loved it.
Until he face dived into the water. I didn't see it happen but JT said his head was totally under water. And it was so cold! Surprisingly he didn't cry, just made a really sad face. He was just shocked I think. And extremely soaking wet.
Of course we had no extra clothes so it cut our exploring short. We went to this trail again though and it's gorgeous! I love that it's so close.
Valentine's surprise package from my mom. She's the best, and we miss her so much!
We made valentine cupcakes and Thomas demolished his. He loved it all. A lot more then his first birthday cake.
Playing at Dizzy Castle on a rainy day.
These condos are along our favorite trail. They are sooo pretty, I would love to have that view everyday!
Walks are our favorite.

Today it was like 65 degrees and so sunny and gorgeous out. We went to the park by JTs work today and got lunch with daddy. A pair of missionaries walked in to eat at the little pizza place we went too. I have always wanted to secretly pay for their meals somewhere but it was so common in Utah we never did! I got really  excited to do it today, so we didn't say anything to them and just added their check to ours when we paid. It left me feeling so happy, I wish I could have seen their faces. JT said it was rare to have that happen on your mission, especially places where members aren't as common. I hope we made their day a little bit better and brighter. It definitely made my day.
